Today Wednesday the 2nd of June.
I've been spending the past day and a half in my bed because of a nasty virus I caught ... Luckily I am feeling much better today !
So last weeks I finally made some arrangements to start Yoga and Aïkido classes.
All courses are at 6 o'clock ...6 AM !
The Aïkido classes are taught in Auroville, so with the commuting time, I have to get up at 4h45AM which is slightly early, but it is indeed the perfect time to get up in India: the climate is really cool and you feel the quietness all around the city.
Since it is still holidays season in Auroville, lots of the regular students are not there so only a very few people, with a majority of beginners, take the class.
Before we start the course, we have to "build" the tatami by placing side by side a bunch of home-made mats made of coconut fibers ... very exotic but a bit hard when you throw yourself on the floor !

The Yoga classes are taught in Pondy, in a school classroom. Around 15 indian students - 12 gents and 3 ladies - follow the classes which is taught half in english, half in tamil.
Eventhough it is Hata Yoga, there are a huge gap between the exercices practised there and those I was used too in The Netherlands. It is therefore very interesting to learn about the different approaches.
